A Huge Coeliac Milestone: My Daughters' Positive Test Results!

Yesterday was a big day in our coeliac journey—one filled with relief, joy, and even a few happy tears. I got the results back for both of my daughters’ latest coeliac markers, and for the first time since their diagnoses, they are both within the NORMAL range!

If you've been following our story, you’ll know that managing coeliac disease is a daily commitment, and it hasn’t always been easy. From the moment my girls were diagnosed, our family’s world changed completely. We had to rethink everything—meals, social events, school lunches, even family traditions—to make sure they were safe and thriving. It’s been a journey of learning, adapting, and constantly advocating for their health.

That’s why getting these results yesterday meant so much. It’s proof that everything we’ve been doing—the careful meal planning, the constant vigilance against cross-contamination, the double-checking of labels, and the endless conversations with schools and friends—has been worth it.

These numbers aren’t just numbers to me. They mean my girls’ bodies are healing. They mean their gut lining is repairing, that they’re absorbing nutrients properly, and that all the little (and big) sacrifices we make every single day are making a difference. They mean that my daughters get to grow up healthy, strong, and with the best possible quality of life.

For any parent navigating a new coeliac diagnosis, I want you to know that while it feels overwhelming at first, it does get easier. Every step you take to keep your child safe is leading to this moment—when you can see the impact of your efforts in their health.

This journey isn’t just about avoiding gluten; it’s about giving our kids a future where they can thrive. And today, I’m celebrating that future for my girls.

To all the coeliac parents out there—you’ve got this. And when you get a win like this, celebrate it. Because every single step forward is worth acknowledging!

Thank you for being part of our journey. Here’s to many more positive test results in the future! 💜
